SUMMARY
The Manufacturing Technician I plays a crucial role in ensuring that parts and finished products meet our high-quality standards.

They are at the forefront of our manufacturing process and are responsible for completing specific steps required to manufacture goods.

Their tasks include operating equipment, testing finished products, and troubleshooting machinery issues.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Positioning parts and loading materials onto machinery.
  • Entering specifications into computers to configure equipment.
  • Overseeing one or more stages of the production process while equipment is running.
  • Assessing product quality and identifying any flaws.
  • Addressing problems that arise with machinery.
  • Making basic repairs to keep equipment operational.
  • Inspecting, cleaning, and performing maintenance on machinery to ensure it remains in good working order.
  • Updating maintenance logs with relevant information.
  • Completing productivity reports detailing the number of parts or products produced during each shift.
  • Participates in continuous improvement activities related to production processes.
  • Adhering to health and safety rules to minimize the risk of workplace injuries.

Requirements:


QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, e.g., vocational training, is required.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing or related fields is beneficial.
  • Background in aerospace, defense, or cable assembly industries favored.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Conversational in any other language is a plus.

JOB SKILLS

  • Comfortable using computers for equipment setup and data entry.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, SAP preferred.
  • Familiarity with production methods and equipment.
  • Capable of troubleshooting machinery issues.
  • Ensuring product quality and identifying defects.
  • Ability to perform minor equipment repairs.
  • Regularly inspecting and maintaining machinery.
  • Committed to following safety protocols.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • ASTM F , ANSI Z411999, or ANSI Z rated safety toe shoes in specific areas.
  • Clear ANSI Z87.1 safetyrated glasses in specific areas.
  • Hearing protection in specific locations.
  • Ability to compile with JSA in specific areas.
