This position is designated as hybrid (3 days/week in office). We currently have an opening for a Mechanical Engineering Designer Specialist for our Transportation division.


Key responsibilities will include assisting with the preparation of Mechanical designs with 3D Revit modeling, HVAC Heating and Cooling Load calculations, Title 24 Calculations using EnergyPro, building energy load calculations, selection of energy recovery units for building and facilities projects.

We provide design services to both public agencies and private corporations.

Current projects include Rail Transit System, road tunnels, bus transit terminals, transportation maintenance facilities, municipal buildings such as public work facilities, and commercial/retail.


Relevant experience with systems associated with mechanical design including HVAC, ventilation, plumbing, fire protection systems, an understanding of ASHRAE, NFPA, and building codes and standards would be ideal.

Focused experience with industrial projects, state agency projects, and/or local municipal projects, and industrial piping would be a plus. Good planning, organizational and communications skills are necessary for success in this position.


Required Skills:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred
  • Relevant design experience preferred
  • EIT preferred
  • Competent in Microsoft Office including Words and Excel

Compensation Range:
$78, $104,007.00
