Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Services Assistant to join our team.

As a Social Services Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing support and assistance to individuals and families in need.

Your responsibilities will include supervising, coordinating services, and providing resources to help improve the overall well-being of our clients.


Duties:

• Conduct assessments and interviews to determine client needs and eligibility for social service programs
• Develop and implement individualized service plans for clients
• Provide crisis intervention and support during times of emotional distress or emergency situations
• Collaborate with other social service agencies and community resources to ensure comprehensive care for clients
• Assist clients in accessing housing assistance programs such as Section
• Coordinate childcare services for families in need
• Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to empower clients and promote positive change
• Provide workforce development support, including resume building, job search assistance, and interview preparation
• Offer mentoring and guidance to individuals navigating the child welfare system
• Assist with crisis management and intervention as needed

Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field preferred
• Previous experience in social services or a related field is highly desirable
• Knowledge of social work principles, practices, and ethics
• Familiarity with crisis intervention strategies and techniques
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
