We are seeking an
Assistant Director Monday through Friday available during hours of operation from 6:30AM to 6:00 PM. There are some evening and weekend meetings and events the director is required to attend.
Locations:
Bolingbrook - Channahon - Crest Hill - Minooka - Yorkville - Naperville
Shifts From: 6:30am-6:00pm
Monday through Friday
No nights

- Speaking and writing is preferred
Minimum qualifications required to qualify as an Assistant Director in the ECE field
:
- Minimum 21 years old
- Physical Exam
- Pass Criminal Background Check
- 3 written character references
- CPR/First Aid Certification (30 days from start date)
- Continuing education: 15 inservice hours
Education qualifications per DCFS standards
:
Assistant Director tasks include but aren't limited to
:
- Organizing large school events
- Preschool graduation
- Book fairs
- Supervising classroom curriculum/classroom observations
- Training new Kitchen and Driver Staff
- Maintaining accurate child files per DCFS
- Welcome new families and staff
- Helping children with eating, diapering/toileting
- Cleaning, keeping a clean and safe room
- Keeping appropriate logs and making sure everything is in compliance with State Regulations as well as with Little Learner Children's Academy standards.
- Able to stand for long periods of time, frequent walking, sitting on the floor and playing with children, being able to lift up to a 40 lb child in an emergency situation.
This is a physically ACTIVE role.
- Fluency and clear communication in English. Must be able to communicate with other staff and parents clearly in both verbal and written form.

Assisting the director with
:
- Managing employee time cards
- Conducting Professional and Performance Plans for staff
- Staff performance reviews
- On boarding Feedback meetings
- Conducting Monthly Mandatory Center Meetings
- Attending Monthly Management meetings at HQ
- Creating Staff schedules
- Managing payroll for the center
- Ensuring center is "tour ready" on a daily basis
- Keeping a positive site work culture
- Managing food program
- Supervising DCFS compliance
- Resolving parent/staff concerns
- Managing parent tuition
