What you do as a Test Engineer for Connected Car at Car Byte in Trenton?

  • America, Asia, Europe - an international deployment where you can also contribute your technical expertise is what excites you
  • You go on international test drives and perform component/function tests.
  • As an expert for our customers' Connected Car solutions, you support connectivity specifications/architecture and ensure their worldwide implementation.
  • You analyze and document connectivity error causes through tracing and logfile analysis at vehicle and backend level.
  • You coordinate error fixes in close collaboration with suppliers, mobile network operators (MNO/MVNO), and internal development teams.
  • You verify the feasibility of all planned connectivity functions in terms of technical, timing, and functional dependencies.

When you fit in with us?

  • You have completed a technician training or a degree (e.g. information or electrical engineering with a focus on telecommunications) and 2-3 years of professional experience.
  • You are familiar with mobile network standards (2G/3G/4G/5G) as well as IP network protocols (HTTP, TLS/SSL, MQTT, DNS, firewall, backend/cloud).
  • You have experience in the area of VoLTE (IMS systems, SIP, RTP/RTCP), eSIM management, and Connected Car.
