    JOB SUMMARY The Registered Nurse is an essential member of the patient care team, responsible for the delivery of direct and indirect patient care.#

    In this role, the RN will be responsible for working alongside an interdisciplinary team to provide day-to-day care of children and adolescents, ages 6-18, in an inpatient Adolescent behavioral unit.

    # The primary diagnosis# that are treated are major depression and ADD/ADHD.#

    He/She will be responsible for medication administration and education, daily documentation of patient care, and managing/monitoring behaviors throughout the unit.

    # Additionally, the RN will participate in and lead education groups.
    JOB REQUIREMENTS
    EDUCATION Associates Degree in Nursing required Valid State of Maine RN license required BLS certification required
    EXPERIENCE 1-3 years previous nursing experience working with children and adolescents preferred At least 1-year previous nursing experience required
    OTHER SKILLS REQUIRED Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Communication on a variety of levels: Patients, families, providers, coworkers Ability to in (at times) stressful situations and manage stress appropriately Ability to set strong professional boundaries# Dedicated team player# Self-directed, able to stay busy in downtime # Covenant Health Mission Statement We are a Catholic health ministry, providing healing and care for the whole person, in service to all in our communities
