    8 am-7 pm Mon-Thurs, 8 am-5 pm Friday


    How many hours per week are required?
    10-20 hours


    Description of Primary Duties
    Work individually with fellow students helping with a variety of mathematical problems.

    Tutors do not do the work for the student; instead, they help students learn how to work the problems out themselves for maximum success.

    Tutors will work face to face and online through Zoom.


    Required Qualifications
    Passed Math 136 with an A or placed in Trigonometry or Calculus. Must have an overall GPA of 3.0 with at least a 3.2 in the subject area. Letter of recommendation from a Math teacher is required.

    A willingness to learn, interest in coaching students for success, and desire to help others become better math students are necessary for the job.


    Required Certifications

    Additional Qualifications
    Students who have taken trigonometry, calculus, or contemporary math are desirable. Previous experience tutoring isn't required but it's desirable. Work study students who meet these criteria especially desirable. Willingness to take math classes beyond the College Algebra level.
