- Preparing and/or implementing remediation designs and strategies for soil, soil vapor, and groundwater remediation projects;
- Collecting and interpreting groundwater, surface water, soil, soil vapor, and indoor air data, including fate & transport evaluations and assessment of vapor intrusion risks;
- Conducting field work, including sampling, installing monitoring wells and soil gas probes, overseeing drillers or other contractors, and maintaining and monitoring remediation or mitigation systems;
- Implementing innovative technologies or solutions applicable to environmental assessment and remediation or related fields;
- Managing, analyzing, and visualizing data, including preparing maps, tables, and figures;
- Writing technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, journal publications, and proposals; and
- Preparing technical presentations for professional conferences and clients.
- Bachelor's degree in environmental or civil engineering, or related field. (required)
- Advanced degree in the same. (preferred)
- Engineer in training (EIT) or professional engineer (PE) license in progress. (preferred)
- At least 2 years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (preferred)
- Prior research experience in contaminated media or remediation technology. (preferred)
- Prior internship or work experience in environmental consulting, including planning or performing field investigations. (preferred)
- Prior experience investigating and mitigating vapor intrusion risks. (preferred)
- Regular field work and overnight travel. (required)
- Experience with MS Office Suite software (including Access), visualization tools (AutoCAD, ArcGIS, EVS), and aquifer test analysis software (AQTESOLV). (preferred)
- Strong oral and technical writing skills. (required)
- Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers. (preferred)
- Valid U.S. drivers license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
