    ELS is hiring for the position of Field Networking Administrator in Chicago, Illinois.


    What you'll do:
    The Field Networking Admin assists with the monitoring of the company's networks to ensure they function efficiently.


    Your job will include:
    Collect and report on network performance data.
    Perform routine network maintenance for software and hardware.
    Install computer and network software, including firewall or security software.
    Install network hardware.
    Monitor compliance with established disaster recovery activities as needed.
    Implement processes to back up data and prevent the loss of information.
    Ensure that established secure network access protocols operate efficiently and updated as required.
    Conduct quality control and performance analyses through inspection of products, services and processes.
    Analyze and report on computer network security breaches, attempted breaches and network support activities.
    Analyze workflow and security requirements and design router administration.
    Monitor systems for glitches or disturbances, analyze technical issues and develop solutions.
    Prepare, revise and update user instructions and manuals.
    Analyze network data to determine network usage, space availability and/or server function.

    Experience & skills you'll need:


    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Networking, or a related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Experience with computer systems analysis, programming, database management, and/or e-security preferred.

    Strong knowledge of relevant software programs, including those related to access management, administration, servers, back-up and archival solutions and configuration management.

    Ability to work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines and drive projects to completion.
