Vice President of Information Technology

Position Overview:

The Vice President of Information Technology (VP of IT) plays a pivotal role in leading the strategic vision, implementation, and management of all IT systems and processes.

This position reports directly to the Chief Strategy Officer and collaborates closely with department heads to ensure that our technological infrastructure supports the organization's goals and objectives.

The VP of IT will play a critical role in advancing our organization's mission to deliver high-quality patient care through the effective use of technology.

We are seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking leader who is passionate about leveraging innovation to improve healthcare delivery and client outcomes.


Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute IT strategies aligned with the organization's objectives and growth plans.

Evaluate emerging technologies and trends to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure and reliable IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and storage systems.
Guide strategy and oversight of cloud infrastructure.

Oversee the selection, purchase, dissemination, and redistribution of devices including but not limited to, tablets, laptops, printers, networking equipment, to meet the needs of field and support services employees.

Oversight to include mobile device management and inventory systems.

Ensure compliance with healthcare industry regulations (e.g., HIPAA) and cybersecurity best practices, including the implementation of business continuity plans to minimize downtime and protect critical data.

Lead and orchestrate large-scale IT project implementations across multi-site operations during acquisition migrations and new company-wide rollouts.
Participate in the selection, deployment, and integration of electronic health record (EHR) and practice management systems.
Work closely with clinical, operational, and administrative teams to optimize workflows and streamline processes.
Continuously monitor system performance and user feedback to identify areas for improvement.
Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
Provide coaching and professional development opportunities to enhance team members' skills and expertise.
Promote a customer-centric approach to IT support, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues and proactive communication with end-users.
Cultivate relationships with technology vendors and service providers to negotiate contracts, evaluate solutions, and ensure quality of service.

Recommend and oversee vendor onboarding and collaborate with external partners and consultants to leverage specialized expertise and resources as needed.


  • Monitor ongoing vendor performance and conduct regular reviews to assess compliance with service agreements and contractual obligations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related operational and management fields (Master's degree preferred).

Proven experience (4+ years) in IT leadership roles, preferably in the healthcare industry.

Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, privacy laws, and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH).Expertise in IT infrastructure management, including network administration, cybersecurity, and cloud technologies.

Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems implementation and optimization.
Experience managing a budget of at least $5M.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
