Fox Valley Institute (FVI), located in Naperville, Illinois, is a multi-award winning counseling practice focused on helping people reach their greatest potential.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Schedule and confirm client appointments
  • Maintain provider schedules
  • Verify confidential client demographics, insurance information, method of payment and referral source information
  • Respond to inquiries from clients, providers and insurance companies providing solutions to needs
  • Responsible for collecting, posting and managing account payments
  • Perform various collection actions including contacting clients by phone
  • Responsible for office administration duties including assisting clients in lobby, light housekeeping and occasional clerical duties, as needed
  • Maintain the strictest patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines
  • Possess a commitment to service, organizational values and professionalism through appropriate conduct, demeanor and attire
  • Adhere to organizational and departmental specific safety standards and guidelines
  • Willingness to perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications and Requirements:


  • Minimum 2 years college
  • 2+ years experience working in a medical office
  • High degree of attention to detail and superior customer service skills
  • Knowledge of managed care, medical insurance and billing practices
  • Strong work ethic, selfstarter, organized and a quick learner with a history of excellent attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to communicate information and ideas in verbal and written form so that others can clearly understand
  • Ability to take and give direction to see objectives to completion
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, leadership team, psychologists/therapists, and administrative team

Preferable:


  • Experience in a Behavioral/Mental Health Practice

Physical Demands:


  • Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time
  • Occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach and twist
  • Lift, carry, push and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight
  • Operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard
