Mobile Crisis Response Engagement Specialist


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certified Recovery Support Services (CRSS) preferred or must be obtained within 12 months of hire.
  • Life experience as a consumer of mental health services or addiction treatment
  • Experience in crisis intervention
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Computer skills

Bilingual (English/SPANISH or English/POLISH) is helpful but not required:

  • Personal vehicle, valid Illinois driver's license and vehicle insurance

Supervisor Mobile Crisis Response


GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide community-based crisis intervention services to children, adolescents, adults and their families with behavioral and emotional concerns.


Provide crisis intervention, peer counseling, information, or referrals to callers on the agency's 24-hour crisis lines in a non-judgmental manner.

Perform other related duties as assigned by the MCR Clinical Supervisor

Adhere to all federal and state regulations and all Agency policies and procedures.


SPECIFIC DUTIES

  • Work as a part of the team to provide crisis intervention and stabilization (MCR) services within the community, which includes days, evenings, holidays and weekends
  • Complete all Agency and DCFS forms
  • Attend all MCR clinical and quarterly meetings
  • Contact Supervisor and utilize supervision to address problematic cases, general case reporting, need for special services, and need for resource information
  • Represent the Agency in a professional manner including educating the community as to Agency services, fostering all collaborative relationships, and assisting in facilitation of MCR Program referrals.
  • Serve on Agency and / or community committees as requested by Supervisor
  • Assume responsibility for professional growth, including attending all mandatory Agency Inservice trainings

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Requires safely lifting or moving up to 25 lbs. on an occasional basis, for example movement of materials, files, or texts.
  • Regular requirement to stand, and sit for long periods of time, with some walking, occasional bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling.
  • The noise level is usually quiet to moderate.
