Fitness Center Coordinator

Fitness Director

Full-time: 40 hours exempt


Job Objective:
The Fitness Center Coordinator is a full-time position which supports the club operations by implementing and maintaining administrative systems. Must have a willingness and desire to be part of a team environment.


Minimum Qualifications:

Education:
High School or Equivalent

Experience: 1-2 years of sales and or management experience


Licensure:
CPR/ AED


Essential Job Functions:

  • Managing and submitting payroll for all staff
  • Responsible for member billing and clearing declines.
  • Supervising and making all changes to software system: Mindbody
  • Training the staff on how to navigate Mindbody.
  • Committing to attending Mindbody University twice a year.
  • Serves as Member Services Director as it relates to billing.
  • Reports weekly/monthly/ yearly financials and keeps accurate records.
  • Participating and assisting with facility events.
  • Communicating to the membership, all upcoming events, membership specials and new classes when needed
  • Developing relationships with each member to help ensure retention.
  • Acting Fitness Director when needed
  • Reports to Fitness Director
  • Directly manages Front Desk Coordinator and Membership Coordinator

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to speak clearly and be understood.
  • Able to hear sounds within some background of noise as in answering the phone, intercom, etc.
  • Visual acuity to see computer and read printed documents.
  • Ability to use company software and equipment to accomplish electronic tasks.
  • Ability to concentrate on fine details with interruptions.
  • Ability to attend to tasks/functions for more than 60 minutes at a time.
  • Ability to understand and relate to the reasons behind several related concepts.
  • Ability to remember multiple tasks /assignments given to self and others over long periods of time.
  • Ability to perform gross body coordination such as walking, stooping, filing, etc.
  • Ability to perform tasks which require hand eye coordination such as keyboard skills, writing or picking up paper.

Environmental Conditions:

  • Rare exposure to blood, body tissue or fluids.
  • Possible exposure to high/low temperatures.
