Provides professional leadership and support to health team members through the following: excellent verbal and written communication; problem solve and work effectively with the entire health care team, patients and families; sound planning and work organization; working both independently and in teams. QualificationsLicense or Registration Requirements:
· Currency in CSFA certification (through NBSTSA) or SA-C certification (through ABSA) must be maintained for employment.
· Maintains licensure as Surgical First Assistant where indicated by State Law
· Current American Heart Association BLS
Training:
· The organized medical staff as part of its credentialing and privileging process may require additional training and experience requirements.
· Continuing education programs to maintain and enhance clinical competencies related to perioperative or First Assisting practice.
