ChampionX has an immediate need for a Material Handler in our Scott, LA plant. If you are a passionate technical professional that likes to work in an autonomous, hands-on plant environment and you are a dedicated professional with a proven track record of success, we invite you to apply. This position will primarily be responsible for providing production support to the Scott, LA plant while maintaining safe operations. What You Will Do:

Perform shipping and/or receiving procedures during order fulfillment or inventory replenishment in a safe and efficient manner.
Load and/or unload containerized and bulk materials from transport trucks, including sampling and obtaining required approval.
Participate in safety meetings, planning committees, TPM, and team functions.
Stage drums and totes for loading and shipping.
Apply spill containment and cleanup methods when required.
Comply with all SH&E policies and procedures.
Ensure that all vendors/contractors adhere to plant safety policies.
Comply with all facility and department policies and procedures.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Perform daily forklift inspections.

Basic/Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent
SAP experience preferred
Ability to operate a forklift (forklift certified)
Must be willing to work flexible hours
Able to operate a computer device, either handheld or forklift mounted
Must have the ability to don a respirator
Must have the ability to wear fall protection if necessary
All candidates must have the ability to speak, read and write English

Physical Demands:

This role is deemed safety sensitive and may be subject to employer or customer drug test
Must have Ability to climb stairs and ladders

Preferred Qualifications:

SAP experience preferred
Ability to function in a team environment
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Team Player with ability to perform physical work
