Client Care Associate Overnight (Part-Time)


Cape Cod Veterinary Specialists is seeking an experienced Client Care Associate to join the team in our Buzzards Bay, MA, location.


About this role
The Client Care Associate is Cape Cod Veterinary Specialists' first and last impression, which impacts the client's overall experience.

The CCA is an invaluable team member who communicates with the clients, works with the medical staff to facilitate emergency and specialty appointments, provides information to the referring veterinary community, and handles financial transactions.

This position is client-focused and does not involve direct interactions with pets.


The Client Care Associate will

  • Greet and check in clients for emergency and specialty appointments in a polite, professional, and timely manner.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments
  • Perform record keeping, such as scanning and documentation in the electronic medical records (EMR)
  • Provide estimates and invoices for payment
  • Take deposits and process payments at checkout
  • Send medical records to referring veterinarians
  • Direct client calls to the appropriate department in a polite, professional, and timely manner.
  • Maintain a clean lobby and front desk area.
  • Respond to clients with compassion and empathy in stressful and emotional situations.

Salary, Schedule, and Benefits Include (but are not limited to)

The salary range for this position is $18 to $20 hourly, commensurate with experience

The schedule is Thurs

  • Sat overnights, 11p to 7a, and
    includes a holiday shift rotation.
  • The initial training schedule is on day shifts.
  • Paid PTO and holidays

Required Qualifications

  • More than one year experience in the veterinary hospital as a technician, liaison, or CCA
  • This position may be open to the right person who expresses a genuine desire and is eager to learn
  • Sufficient computer experience (Word, Excel) and the ability to learn various veterinary software programs
  • Ample experience and knowledge of various equipment, including fax and copy machines, credit card and check terminals, and postage meters
  • Basic math skills to determine proper deposits and process payments
  • Ability to balance and prioritize multiple tasks appropriately
  • Confidence in themselves, in their abilities, and in their team
  • Excellent clear communication skills
  • Must be professional, pleasant, and engaged
  • Must be attentive and demonstrate a high level of respect to referring veterinarians, clients, and coworkers
