    Job Description

    Hepaco, a Clean Harbors company, located in Greenville, SC, is looking for a Field Services Technician I to join their safety-focused team. In this role, you will work in the field handling tasks related to hazardous waste clean-up, site-remediation, equipment decontamination, and management of hazardous materials.

    Responsibilities

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Prioritize Health and Safety by following protocols, procedures, and always prioritizing safety
    • Engage in physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy objects and performing strenuous activities
    • Operate a range of equipment, tools, and machinery, while adhering to safety guidelines
    • Wear and utilize various Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) properly
    • Work in different environments and weather conditions
    • Handle potentially hazardous substances and chemicals safely
    • Work in elevated noise levels and confined spaces
    • Assist in sampling and meter calibration activities
    • Conduct waste handling tasks following regulations and guidelines
    • Inspect containers for compliance and integrity
    • Safely load and unload hazardous materials
    • Follow all environmental and safety regulations at local, state, and federal levels
    • Operate vehicles in compliance with transportation regulations
    • Adhere to corporate operating procedures
    • Perform other assigned duties as needed
    • Be available for emergency response duties on a rotating basis
    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:
    • Access to reliable transportation
    • Physical capabilities to meet job requirements
    • Willingness to be on call for emergency situations
    • Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed
    • Pass required background checks, drug tests, and physical assessments
    • Compliance with OSHA standards including facial hair restrictions for respirator use
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Valid Driver's license
    • Prior experience in relevant labor roles
