Description & Requirements for Our IT Specialist 1

We are looking for a professional with a friendly attitude and the ability to help problem solve, troubleshoot, and deploy our firm wide technology In this position, you will be responsible for the performance, availability, and security of the Savant Capital Management desktop and mobile device computing environments.

You will also contribute as needed to the administration, maintenance, and support of server related hardware, software, and networking systems.

In this role, you will get the opportunity to make contributions to technology projects through assistance in planning, configuring, deploying, and training.

How will you spend your days here at Savant?

We are in the age of technology now and have many platforms that we use here at Savant. You will help install, troubleshoot, and maintain Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, Box, Cisco, and Citrix to name a few. As you are integrated into the firm, you will learn all about all of the platforms we utilize
You will get the opportunity to configure, install, secure, maintain, and support desktop computing equipment, phones, software, systems, and mobile devices throughout the firm.
Our employees need different types of hardware and mobile devices, so some of your time will be spent reviewing and maintaining IT inventory.
To help drive efficiency and customer satisfaction in our firm, we use a ticketing system for our IT help desk. You will be responsible for assisting and solutioning customer requests.
Savant has over 20 locations, and as we grow and add new members, you will need to help perform user and computer moves, adds, and changes at our various locations. Because of this, we require you to have the ability to travel to our various locations, and at times work nonstandard business hours (evenings/weekends).
At Savant we like to help our employees by providing training, so we will ask you to write and maintain detailed system documentation and procedures as well as deliver them to other departments as needed.
IT security is one of our highest priorities, so we hope that you will encourage team members' safe, efficient, and effective usage of computing systems

Where do you fit in?

Our "must have's" in order to be considered for this role:

Education

Associate degree, Bachelor's degree preferred, in information technology, computer science or related field from an accredited school

Experience

23 years proven success and tenure in a similar role
You are a team player, you enjoy collaboration and helping others, but you can also work independently on project work.
You are a selfmotivated, customer service oriented, energetic, resourceful, and eager to learn person
You enjoy trouble shooting and problem solving to help others in a timely and efficient manner.
You will be process oriented, organized, detailoriented, and able to multitask.
You will have a proven track record for solid attendance in your previous work experiences.
You will exude excellent verbal and written communication skills to build strong interpersonal relationships at all levels of the organization.

These Preferred Qualifications are "nice to have" but are not essential to carrying out the day-to-day functions of the job:

Help Desk, desktop and network support experience
Experience with rebuilding a PC with regard to reloading an operating system, reloading appropriate software, and reloading data files
Experience with or industry certification; Microsoft Windows Server, Operating systems, Software troubleshooting, CCNA, iOS, Windows, Microsoft Office, Firewall, Computer hardware, CompTIA Network+, Computer networking, Communication skills, CompTIA A+
Maintain a high level of technical knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications
You enjoy contributing to the overall effectiveness of the IT team by assisting with various projects and filling in for others as needed
You hold relevant industry certifications
