Duties:


  • Serves as the Engineering Technician working under the supervision of the Chief of the Master Planning Division.
  • Coordinates and assists in the development and revision of the installation master plan by organizing and incorporating data, updating the GIS database, and contributing to it.
  • Identifies new Sustainment Restoration and Modernization (SRM), Unspecified Minor Military Construction, Army (UMMCA), and Military Construction, Army (MCA) projects.
  • Review/Analyze Real Property Planning and Analysis System (RPLANS) data to compare accuracy of the data to installation requirements and current assets.

  • Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting in the planning of construction and renovation projects to include the planning and scheduling the work with the contractor; AND Developing cost estimates for the construction, modification, maintenance, or repair of government facilities; AND Utilizing computing systems such as, MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Bentley Microstation, or other Windows software to develop project specifications and drawings. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS09).

Education:

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone-no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
