Summary:
We are seeking a Planning Associate required to support the educational mandate


Job Title:
Planning Associate**
Location: New York, NY 10019

Target Work

Schedule:
Monday to Friday 9AM to 5PM


Target Duration/End Date:
May 2026


Description of Roles and Responsibilities:


  • Performing utilization, space needs analyses, programming, and feasibility studies throughout all locations. Involves physical, inperson work throughout multiple locations through NYC
  • Managing and updating various datasets and the space inventory system
  • Providing database and report development support
  • Qualifications and Core Competencies

Mandatory/Minimum Qualification, Skills, Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree or a Master's degree in Architectural, Interior Design, Planning, Business or related education, experience, or background


Mandatory Minimum Qualifications:


  • Minimum 2 years Project Management/Coordination experience, ideally with large institutions
  • Experience working in and managing a diverse team environment
  • Project Management and scheduling Software (ex: Microsoft Project)
  • AutoCAD
  • Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams
  • Adobe Suite (Acrobat Pro, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
  • Ability to work under existing, as well as create new, project schedules and plans.
  • Ability to manage a project and a team, working to achieve project goals independently with that team
  • Ability to shift between working independently and setting internal goals, to working closely with a small team

Preferable Qualifications:


  • Certification from a recognized Planning Organization
  • Planning experience in a New York State publicly funded organization
