    Description

    What You Can Expect

    As the Software Developer in Houston, Texas for ENGIE's Global Energy Management & Supply (GEMS), you will work alongside a software development team to design and develop web and cloud-based applications using the Microsoft .NET framework and Azure platform and or Oracle PL/SQL. Every day, you will report to the Director of Solution delivery to assist with meeting goals of the team's transformation through implementing redesigned systems and processing using the latest digital technology.

    What You'll Bring

    • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in computer science or MIS curriculum and a minimum of two five (5) years of experience with C# and .NET frameworks or Oracle PL/SQL in a professional work setting; in lieu of a four-year degree, you should bring a total of a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in which you have gained an understand of software development where you have designed and developed web and cloud-based applications
    • Experienced with Microsoft SQL Server and database performance tuning
    • Experienced with ETL tools and processes
    • Understanding of Azure services such as Azure App Services, Azure SQL, and Azure Storage
    • Experienced with Git or other version control systems
    • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
    • Ability to troubleshoot and debug applications
    • Accept and perform code reviews based on defined coding standards and contributes to coding standards
    • Ability to write complex PL/SQL scripts for data manipulation, data validation, and data management
    • Proven experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes
    • Ability to coordinate with product owners, architects, and system owners in the testing of new features

    Additional Details

    • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy
    • Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license
    • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies

    Compensation

    Salary Range: $96,100 - $147,660 USD annually

    This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

    Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

    ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

    In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
