The Department Z34 "Scientific IT" is responsible for creating a scientific IT environment for the specialist departments that meets the special requirements in the laboratory area.

In this context, IT security must be ensured in accordance with BSI guidelines. Highly performant networks, servers (HPCs), and storage systems in the PByte range complete the range of tasks.
