DB is one of the most diverse employers in Germany.

Every year, we are looking for over 5,000 apprentices in 50 professions who want to become even better with us.

We are currently seeking candidates for a 2-year apprenticeship as an industrial electrician (m/f/d) for DB Bahnbau Gruppe GmbH in Halle (Saale).

The vocational school and training workshop are located in Leipzig.

What to expect in your apprenticeship:

  • Maintenance of our technical systems, such as replacing overhead wires and insulators
  • Become a specialist in the installation and modernization of our overhead line systems
  • Learn the basics, such as the relationship between voltage and current, as well as electrical fundamentals and equipment
  • Gain knowledge on how to evaluate technical documents

After your apprenticeship, you will have the opportunity to further develop as a machine operator, for example for our Skyrailer.


Your profile:

  • You have successfully completed (or will soon complete) school
  • Your knowledge in math and physics is particularly good
  • Changing work locations (nationwide) and working hours do not deter you
  • You have manual dexterity and enjoy tinkering in your free time
  • Your dedicated and careful work ethic sets you apart
  • You enjoy working in a team and outdoors
