- Lead Program Directors in effectively managing their programs with a focus on person-centered care and continuous quality improvement.
- Organize and oversee the delivery of social services including Case Management, Housing Placement, Child Care, and Recreation programs.
- Supervise Clinical Supervisors and provide guidance, training, and mentorship to the Social Service Team.
- Ensure compliance with NYC DHS and NYS OTDA regulations and contractual requirements.
- Collaborate with NYC Administration for Children's Services (ACS) and NYC Department of Education on child welfare and related issues.
- Review intake screenings, service plans, and maintain accurate and compliant records.
- Conduct case conferences and utilization reviews to increase permanent housing placements.
- Develop crisis intervention protocols and oversee incident management to prevent negative incidents.
- Establish connections with various community-based services and providers including housing, medical, behavioral health, public benefits, and legal services.
- Coordinate psychiatric evaluations for housing applications.

Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and dynamic Director Clinical Services / LCSW to join our team at Midway Living. In this role, you will provide strategic leadership and oversight to the service delivery programs in our four shelter locations (Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens).
The Director will play a critical role in supporting our mission by supervising a team of LMSWs, fostering collaboration among staff, and building strong partnerships with community organizations in various areas like workforce development, education, healthcare, childcare, and immigrant legal services. Additionally, the director will lead the design of our social services approach, focusing on client-centered, trauma-informed care, and incorporating evidence-based practices such as Motivational Interviewing.
Key Responsibilities
Qualifications, Education, and Experience
Requirements include NY State Licensed Certified Master Social Worker and a minimum of three years of supervisory experience. Demonstrated expertise in serving homeless families and familiarity with housing, education, child welfare, domestic violence, and behavioral health services systems. Experience working with diverse populations, exceptional leadership and communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, and fluency in English and Spanish (preferred).
