    Description

    Job Responsibilities

  • Provides instruction including hands-on and theory, classroom management, and administrative tasks that may include reports, syllabus and lesson plan development.
  • Prepares and/or maintains current course syllabi for course taught.
  • Ensures that course is taught in accordance with the establish syllabi.
  • May teach in the day, evening, on-campus, as well as alternate delivery methods i.e. internet, hybrid, etc.
    • Midlands Technical College is dedicated to providing excellent service to its students, employees, and the community. In doing so, all MTC employees will take two Service Excellence courses: a college-wide program to enhance our collective efforts of ensuring MTC is a first-choice college.

    This position is located on the Airport Campus in the School of Health Care.

    Minimum and Additional Requirements

    Associate's degree in a healthcare related field, three years of experience in a healthcare facility and a current certification as a CMA (AAMA) or RMA(AMT) through the AAMA. .

    Preferred Qualifications

    Associate's degree in a healthcare related field, three years of recent employment in a health care facility, including a minimum of hours in an ambulatory health care setting performing or observing administrative or clinical procedures as performed by medical assistants. Must be credentialed in Medical Assisting by an organization whose credentialing exam is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
