    The Medical Assistant is responsible for clinical and clerical tasks around the office.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Drawing blood, injections
    • Cleaning and sanitizing rooms
    • Prepping rooms/assisting with procedures and stocking supplies
    • Rooming patients
    • Taking down the patient's chief complaint
    • Basic vital signs: height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, sugar levels
    • Some administration work: answering phones, scheduling appointments, insurance verifications, referrals, prior authorizations

    Requirements:

    • Medical Assistant certification is required
    • High School Diploma or GED required
    • 6 months years experience minimum
    • EMR experience is preferred
