Description
:The Finance Manager will report directly to the VP of Finance and play a pivotal role in managing financial operations and accounting tasks within the firm.
Responsibilities:
- Manage monthend close processes and journal entries.
- Assist with ensuring accurate and timely processing of internal payroll.
- Monitor and review general ledger accounts to ensure proper recording of transactions and timely reconciliation.
- Oversee accounts payable processes, ensuring accurate processing of invoices, payments, and collections, including sales tax and 1099 reporting.
- Assist in implementing the firm's financial strategy, goals, and objectives under the guidance of the VP of Finance.
- Assist in monitoring financial forecasts and annual budgets.
- Recommend and implement software systems that optimize the department's workflow.
- Maintain compliance with data privacy and confidentiality policies.
- Supervise and train other finance team members, providing guidance and support on accounting procedures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in accounting, financial management, or public accounting.
- Strong general ledger skills.
- Proficiency in accounting and payroll systems.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience in report generation from accounting, practice management, and payroll systems.
- Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills,
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to providing exceptional client service with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Strong attention to detail with accuracy.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
- Experience in MAS 90 is a plus.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
