The city of Gifhorn is currently seeking to fill a permanent position as a Tree Inspector (m/f/d) for the construction yard as soon as possible.
- Pay grade 7 according to TVöD
- The city of Gifhorn, an idyllic mill town in the southern Lüneburg Heath with a charming old town characterized by halftimbered houses, offers a variety of sights such as the openair mill museum and several historic buildings. Following the motto "Here, things are moving", the city is constantly growing. Conveniently located on the B 4 with a train station at the end of the pedestrian zone, around 44,000 residents live here. As a central town in the district of the same name, there are a variety of shopping opportunities, childcare facilities, and all school systems available.
Your future responsibilities:
- Independent and responsible execution of tree inspections on municipal street trees and in innercity forest areas in accordance with the duty to ensure safety
- Preparation, obtaining, and review of offers for tree care work to be carried out in accordance with recognized rules of technology, such as the ZTV tree care
- Independent execution of minor tree care measures, e.g. emergency removal after storms
- Conducting wood sales in compliance with legal requirements
- Participation in winter service, including being on call, as well as at city events
Your qualifications:
- Training as a gardener specializing in gardening and landscaping or equivalent
- Certification
