Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Signature Gatherer to join our team. As a Signature Gatherer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our efforts and engaging with the community. This is a temporary position with flexible hours.
Duties:
- Conduct doortodoor or event canvassing to gather signatures for petitions
- Engage with potential supporters and effectively communicate the purpose and goals of the campaign
- Utilize persuasive techniques to encourage individuals to sign petitions
- Maintain accurate records of signatures collected
- Collaborate with team members to meet signature collection goals
- Adhere to all legal requirements and regulations related to signature gathering
- Assist with other campaign activities as needed
Requirements:
- Previous experience in fundraising, sales, or customer service preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Bilingual proficiency is a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills
- Knowledge of local market dynamics and community issues
- Ability to supervise and train volunteers or team members is an asset
- Familiarity with electioneer regulations and procedures is desirable
