    At C+R, all analysts work directly with senior managers and owners, who are all still analysts working on projects, as well as face-to-face with clients. Our client brands are mostly Fortune 1,000 companies (both B2C and B2B) and our teams work across a variety of categories using the most innovative methodologies.

    POSITION FUNCTION:

    The Quantitative Research Director works and leads several aspects of a collaborative quantitative and qualitative project team across a few client communities. For each client community, this is an opportunity to understand clients businesses from multiple angles as the research projects tend to cover all aspects of their short and long-term initiatives.

    Additionally, the Research Director, in tandem with other senior management, plays a pivotal role in the development, training and mentoring of other quantitative team members. Projects tend to cover everything from innovation and early-stage concept testing to positioning, messaging, packaging, etc. The goal of projects is to deeply understand and immerse in our clients industries to, ultimately help them understand their core segments/targets to help them make better decisions. C+Rs communities and panels provide clients with targeted respondent sources to conduct both quantitative and qualitative studies across tactical and strategic initiatives.

    The Quantitative Research Director is involved in managing the overall client account, as well as all aspects of executing quantitative or hybrid quantitative/qualitative research projects with additional team members, from research design & proposal/cost development through implementing quality standards, questionnaire development through reviewing or executing written analysis/reporting and leading client discussions in weekly meetings or assisting with presentations of research results.

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Essential Duties:

    • Manage overall client relationship, including delivering on current community partnership/contract and building new opportunities.
    • Guide the team in their response to client Request for Proposal (RFP) through a written proposal that outlines a recommended research design, methodology, timing, and costs.
    • Oversee application of quantitative research methods to address issues and objectives specified by client.
    • Lead and collaborate on all aspects of quantitative projects, including research design, questionnaire development, field coordination, survey programming, quality control, data processing, report publishing/reviewing, and presentation of results.
    • Contribute and guide Senior Analysts and Analysts in writing conclusions and identifying opportunities or recommendations that address clients business issues.
    • Review Senior Analysts, Analysts and Associates work.
    • Lead and collaborate on analysis for hybrid qualitative and quantitative analysis and reports.
    • Mentor and develop Senior Analysts, Analysts and Associates on the team.
    • Attend client meetings and presentations as needed.

    Other Duties:

    • Work with other team members in managing and meeting the overall community goals, objectives, and client management.
    • Keep up-to-date and knowledgeable about your clients businesses, industries and/or customers, and technological advancements.
    • Contribute to the overall organization by offering ideas and suggestions for improving processes and/or C+Rs products and services.
    • Contribute to the communities and panels team growth by working with senior management on standardization and improvement of process from setup to research execution.

    SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

    • 8 to 10 years of hands-on experience conducting and designing custom marketing research projects including all aspects of research from proposal through end deliverables
    • Experience conducting research studies over the Internet and/or using a pre-recruited panel is a plus.
    • Experience guiding and/or managing/mentoring junior team members.
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills and working with others.
    • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
    • A proven record of exemplary client service.
    • Ability to juggle projects and tasks with minimal supervision.
    • Ability to prioritize concurrent tasks in fast-paced team environment.
    • Resourceful self-starter with an inquisitive mind and a passion for consumer research.
    • Enthusiastic, engaged, and positive attitude.
    • High interest and comfort utilizing internet technologies.
    • Significant, hands-on experience with Microsoft Office products.

    EDUCATION:

    Bachelors or masters degree in marketing, Marketing Research, Psychology, Sociology, Communication or other related field.

    WORKING CONDITIONS:

    Casual office environment.
