THE POSITION:

DESCRIPTION OF WORK:


This position is responsible for duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor associated with the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program's (RACP) payment review and audit function.

This is professional and administrative work performing compliance, financial and performance audits of grants, agreements, contracts, and payment requests for economic, cultural, civic, recreational, and historical improvement projects for the RACP in the Governor's Budget Office.


The incumbent in this position is responsible for the efficient and effective conduct of close-out audits which satisfy the needs of the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program.

Additionally, the incumbent's decision-making duties include the release of project retainage based on the results of internal risk reviews, compliance assessments and the close-out audit.

Moreover, as an individual with considerable latitude for making independent decisions, especially as to problems, risks, or issues that arise during the review portion of the close-out audit, this person must possess the judgment needed to seek the guidance and counsel of their supervisor.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:


  • Fulltime employment.
  • Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday
  • Friday, with 60minute lunch.

Telework:You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time with
occasional in-office days when work dictates such requirements.

In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. More detail can be provided during the interview process.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY:


QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:


  • One year as a Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program Associate;
    or:
  • Two years of professional experience in community or economic development, project management, urban planning, public finance or economics; and a bachelor's degree in community or economic development, public administration, business administration or related field;
    or:
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes two years of professional experience in community or economic development, project management, urban planning, public finance or economics.

Additional Requirements:


  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Preferred Qualification (not required):


  • Auditing experience.
