Performing Arts Center ManagerPOSITION DETAILS
The Performing Arts Center Manager will be responsible for the Operations Management, Front of House Management, Logistics and Coordination, Communication and Relationship Management and Administrative Support.
- Oversee day-to-day Front of House (FOH) operations and administrative tasks of the performing arts center.
- Assist the Director with the Schooltime arts education program.
- Manage FOH staffing and budgeting.
- Hire, train, supervise staff maintain schedules and ensure efficient operations for FOH staff.
- Maintain a positive guest experience. Address patron issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Facilitate communication between FOH and back-of-house (BOH) teams.
- Coordinate event set-up, including crowd control, signage, and equipment.
- Coordinate client contract walk-throughs, scheduling, and production planning as it relates to FOH operations.
- Coordinate with rental event clients on set-up arrangements and special requirements.
- Manage ticket scanning devices and FOH concessions.
- Ensure adherence to safety policies, including ADA compliance.
- Liaise with the performing arts director, production BOH, and box-office staff.
- Maintain relationships with stakeholders, including departments of Theater and Conservatory of Music, donors, and the community.
- Manage external security staffing.
- Ensure that external security and Schooltime invoices are routed for each event to the Office of Strategic Initiative's administrative assistant for timely payment and monthly reconcile.
- Assist in budget management for part-time FOH staff and event-related expenses.
- Conduct periodic internal evaluations and assist with other assigned duties and projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum
- Bachelor's degree and six years' related experience required.
Preferred- Experience managing a large usher staff Experience managing music, theater, graduation, and conference or lecture events.- Excellent communication skills.- Exceptional attention to detail, precision, and accuracy in tasks; strong organizational and time management skills; and the ability to perform non-routine work with changing priorities and stringent deadlines.

Manages day-to-day operations and administrative activities of a performing arts center- Manages College-sponsored event programming; works with student and faculty representatives to understand their needs and assure successful productions- Manages center administration, including staffing, payroll, budget and fiscal management- Assists in client contract negotiations, scheduling, and planning for production requirements- Participates in soliciting business, developing marketing and public relations campaigns, and developing relationships with external arts and community organizations- Provides programming to fulfill the community service mission of the College or Unit.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
$67,784 - $70,453; Salary commensurate with education and experience.
