Cryptologic Engagement Officers' responsibilities include:

  • Developing, nurturing, and/or negotiating relationships with the DoD, Intelligence Community, Industry and foreign partners.
  • Operating in a collaborative and responsive environment, maximizing dynamic partner capabilities.
  • Assessing stakeholder needs and identifying capabilities to address those needs.
  • Providing timely and effective support and information sharing within appropriate legal authorities.
  • Identifying the internal and external politics that impact the work of the organization and responding accordingly.
Job Summary


Cryptologic Engagement Officers engage with internal and external stakeholders to deliver products; protect assets; make procurements; influence policy; protect, develop and acquire human resources; develop partnerships; and share and receive knowledge, as examples.


Qualifications:

The qualifications listed are the minimum acceptable to be considered for the position. Degree in any area is acceptable.

Relevant experience must be in one of the following:
(a) an area directly related to NSA mission (e.g., collection, intelligence, and cryptologic); (b) NSA/IC/DOD mission support; (c) NSA/IC/DOD inter-agency support, and/or d) NSA-relevant industry, academic, or governmental entities. External engagement/collaboration experience (e.g., participation in cross-Agency working groups, JDA, field assignment, external customer support) within the DoD or IC is preferred.

ENTRY/DEVELOPMENTAL Entry is with a Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree plus 1 year of relevant experience.

A high school diploma or GED plus 6 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree plus 4 years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position.

FULL PERFORMANCE Entry is with a Bachelor's degree plus 4 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree plus 2 years of relevant experience or a Doctoral degree plus 1 year of relevant experience.

A high school diploma or GED plus 8 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree plus 6 years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position.

SENIOR Entry is with a Bachelor's degree plus 6 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree plus 4 years of relevant experience or a Doctoral degree plus 2 years of relevant experience.

A high school diploma or GED plus 10 years of relevant experience or an Associate's degree plus 8 years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position.

EXPERT Entry is with a Bachelor's degree plus 9 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree plus 7 years of relevant experience or a Doctoral degree plus 5 years of relevant experience.

A high school diploma or GED plus 13 years of relevant experience or an Associate's degree plus 11 years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position.
