Department Overview:


Applied Technology Services (ATS) is an internal service organization that provides high quality technical services and expertise on an as-needed basis to all functional organizations at Pacific Gas & Electric Company (PG&E), including Nuclear, Hydro and Fossil Generation; Electric Transmission and Distribution; Gas Transmission and Distribution; and other internal PG&E departments.

Based at PG&E's San Ramon Technology Center, ATS is a multi-disciplinary team of approximately 120 engineers and technical personnel who perform work in the ATS San Ramon offices and laboratories, and in the field.


Position Summary:

The Business Performance Analyst analyzes processes and utilizes six sigma techniques to develop and recommend operational process improvements. He/She manages cross functional teams and partners with peers and leaders on process change implementation and ongoing measurement. The incumbent may own ongoing process management or administration.

The incumbent also provides business analytics information, including research, data analysis, metric implementation, forecasting, and reporting in support of business decision making, strategy and operations.


A reasonable salary range is:

Minimum Base Salary (Bay Area) $122,000.00
Mid Base Salary (Bay Area) $158,000.00
Maximum Base Salary (Bay Area) $194,000.00


Responsibilities:

Supports the Enterprise PO and Accruals Power BI Report
Monitors and ensures accurate data feeds from multiple sources.
Leads implementation of process improvements and efficiencies.

Develops and tracks metrics that provide data for process measurement, business operations or risk assessment and may present findings to leadership.

Supports LSS process improvement projects by carrying out various project tasks such as process mapping, data collection, data analysis, metrics analysis, root cause analysis, documentation under Black Belt guidance.

Works on moderately complex problems that require in depth analysis and judgment to obtain results or solutions.
Mentors and provides guidance to less experienced colleagues.


Qualifications:


Minimum:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
7 years of relevant business, operational, financial, or process improvement experience


Desired:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering
Master's Degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience
Experience with MS Power BI
Experience with MS Power Apps
Experience with HTML
Experience with SQL
