Job Overview:


At our company, our valued Process Operators play a crucial role in crafting, pasteurizing, and homogenizing our renowned cream cheese, known for its exceptional quality worldwide.

As the initial step in our cheesemaking process, Process Operators hold a vital position in ensuring the production of premium cheese products.

Operating in a fast-paced environment, they demonstrate outstanding prioritization skills while upholding the highest standards of quality, even when dealing with high-volume production.


Major Duties, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities:

  • Make Cream Cheese (Direct Set, Cultured etc.), Mascarpone, Low-Fat Cream Cheese, Tofutti, Yogurt, Greek and other cheeses while adhering to Standard Operating Procedures, HACCP Guidelines and Good Manufacturing Procedures.
  • Determine powders and other ingredients necessary to make cheese using a formula provided on computer. Retrieve, measure, and return ingredients as needed.
  • Verify receipt, butterfat % and weight of cream, milk, and/or cream cheese mix.
  • Perform Babcock Test and T.A.(titratable acidity) test.
  • Blend, Pasteurize, Homogenize, Acidify, pH and pack all Cream Cheese products.
  • Maintain all Homogenizer seals and oil levels at all times.
  • Complete all manual and computerized production records including recording ingredients used, lot numbers, batches produced, etc.
  • Assist with maintaining inventory of ingredients and packaging for copack products by alerting Cream Supervisor and Purchasing when levels are getting low.
  • Organize and clean work area on a continual basis following any clean up schedules provided.
  • Assist General Manager with new product development, as requested.
  • Change homogenizer seals and perform preventative maintenance on positive pumps and all other related equipment.
  • Assist in the cleaning of equipment for kosher products
  • Must be proficient at handling multiple tasks on a consistent basis.
  • Follow and assist with the updating of Standard Operating Procedures, HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) Guidelines, GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), safety policies, and all other company policies.
  • Assist team in improving quality and efficiency through continual development of operational techniques that minimize product waste and maximize product quality.

Ideal Qualifications:


  • Manufacturing batch making experience preferred.
  • Dairy Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Manufacturing experience required.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fastpaced environment
  • Ability to lift over 50lbs on a regular basis.
