Description
Crescent Cardboard Company, a recognized leader in the art and framing industry, is seeking a Picker-Packer for our facility in Wheeling, IL.
The primary function of the Picker-Packer is picking and packing the order to customer requirements and ensuring consistently high levels of productivity, accuracy, safety awareness.
Duties and responsibilities
- Pick orders as needed
- Review customer orders for accuracy
- Follow packing and special instructions
- Obtain the proper packing materials, skid and carton
- Make carton as required
- Assemble cartons needed for order
- Verify that correct stock is in the designated locations(s)
- Count correct number of sheets to complete the picking line. Carefully lift sheets out of primary picking location/ Scan the location.
- Carefully place the correct number of product sheets into carton without scuffing the face surface of the product
- Inspect product while picking
- Cull any seconds or straightening boards from product and deposit these materials to the proper location Complete all packing instructions
Qualifications & Requirements
- Ability to work in a fastpaced, highstress environment
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good communication skills
