Job Summary:

Responsibilities:


  • Develop, organize, and deliver recognition and awards programs to foster positive volunteer relations.
  • Assist marketing staff to publicize volunteer opportunities at The Center.
  • Create and distribute monthly volunteer reports to program leaders and key stakeholders.
  • Manage introductory and periodic background checks for volunteers, contractors, and employees.
  • Coordinate corporate outreach volunteer projects.
  • Answer telephone, direct calls, sell tickets, handle payments, process donations and memberships, provide information about The Center, events, and programs to visitors, volunteers, and vendors.
  • Assist with office duties, including clerical, donor acknowledgements, database management, etc.
  • Other duties, as needed.

Qualifications:


  • Excellent public speaking and communication skills, including incoming/outgoing telephone calls
  • Ability to recruit and train volunteers effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel with an aptitude to learn ticketing, donor management, and CRM software quickly
  • Strong writing, proofreading, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability in time management
  • Background in customer service, social work, education, or related field is a plus
  • Always demonstrates professionalism in dress, attitude, and behavior
  • Must be a trustworthy person who can keep sensitive information confidential
