Your main responsibilities in this position are:

  • Conducting scheduled maintenance work (500 hours, annually, etc.) on Viking offshore wind turbines without supervision
  • Identifying and resolving common, recurring, and major component failures in the electrical and mechanical systems of the offshore wind energy plant, if you are trained/certified accordingly
  • Conducting onthejob qualification training, evaluating the competence and quality of troubleshooting procedures of assigned individuals
  • Performing unscheduled maintenance work
  • Developing advanced troubleshooting knowledge and skills onsite with competent individuals
  • Leading small teams; responsible for the safety, competence, and productivity of apprentices, maintenance technicians, and contractors assigned to them for maintenance and troubleshooting work
  • Maintaining records, documentation, and reporting technical and safetyrelated issues and difficulties to the relevant individuals onsite/in the office
  • May act as an appointed person or appointed trainer to confirm the development of individuals
  • Maintaining and following safety procedures as prescribed in company policy
  • Participating in all relevant oncall duties (flexibility is important)

Your qualifications:

  • Successfully completed electrical engineering training (according to German regulations)
  • 3+ years of professional experience in the wind industry, preferably offshore
  • Successful completion of all relevant training according to service qualification and level concept
  • Advanced understanding of the electrical and mechanical systems of all turbine components and systems
  • Proactive and independent work style
  • Team player
  • Flexibility regarding shift work and location
  • Advanced understanding of IT
