Job Summary:


The Health Educator position at Partners4Wellness offers a dynamic and impactful opportunity for an individual passionate about public health and substance use prevention.


The role involves engaging with youth and community members through educational presentations, developing tailored outreach programs, and coordinating with local agencies to implement effective substance use prevention strategies.


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Conduct presentations regarding substance use prevention to elementary, middle, and high school youth, parents, community members.
  • Plan, develop and conduct primary prevention outreach and education to various demographics.
  • Coordinate with schools, community groups and local agencies to implement substance use related programs and services.
  • Participate and attend school and local community meetings and trainings.
  • Strong understanding and interest in current youth and substance use related issues.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
  • Participate in grant writing opportunities when needed.
  • Effectively network with other agencies and represent _Partners4Wellness_ in the community.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bachelor's degree in health science or related field
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Good Public Speaking skills with the ability to engage audience.
  • Have knowledge regarding local community resources.
  • Prior experience in alcohol, tobacco, prescription, and other drug prevention a plus

OTHER:


  • Always maintains professional behavior and appearance.
  • Attend community meetings and training courses as needed.
  • Assist with creating and developing project materials.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned which may include weekends or evenings.
  • Maintain and/or build strong relationships with school administration and community agencies.
  • Work independently, as well as a team member and be selfmotivated.
  • Must have reliable transportation and be able to work throughout Orange County

Pay:
$45, $46,000.00 per year
