RJ Gorman is an innovative, family owned, construction firm, specializing in Marine related construction activities ranging from residential, commercial, government and FDOT construction.

Our headquarters are in Panama City, but we are growing throughout the state of Florida. This position is located in our South Florida division.


Responsibilities:

• Providing leadership for multiple aspects of controls including costs, planning, scheduling, engineering, supervision, and management of personnel
• Prepare construction documents, and coordinate with the design and management team
• Manage projects from estimation to completion and work directly with clients and support members
• Complete project submittals, code reviews, and coordination of consultants
• Meet with regulatory authorities and parties as needed
• Review drawings, ensure accurate document preparation
• Ensures construction site rules and procedures are implemented and followed
• Coordinate with Safety Manager to ensure projects are completed in accordance with safety goals
• Determine and define project scope and objectives.
• Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
• Establishing and maintain customer relationships
• Accurate forecasting of costs for job completion
• Provide leadership and development to project team
• Working toward new acquisitions
• Ability to interact professionally and communicate with subcontractors and employees with expectations and direction regarding schedules, construction methods, company policies and procedures, permits, safety, quality control and other performance standards.
• Understand project specifications, the subcontractor's contract, and the subcontractor's scope of work and see that they are fully performed in the field.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 35 years of managing marine projects
• Experience with scheduling, estimating and project controls software (Primavera P6, HCSS, Sage, B2W, MS Project)
• Must possess a valid driver license for the type(s) of vehicles you may be driving with an acceptable driving record
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Industry knowledge and ability to read blueprints
• Detailoriented and strong communication skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Proven ability to work collaboratively internally and with outside consultants or clients

$90, $120,000.00 per year
