- Responsible for the planning and the lay out of work.
- Perform carpentry buildings and grounds maintenance work.
- Perform carpentry construction work.

- Directs Carpenter II and M/M Helpers, and repair personnel as assigned.
- Read blueprints and generate bill of materials.
- High school, technical school, apprenticeship, trade school graduate or equivalent required.
- Four years' experience in trade or building maintenance.
- Completion of a recognized apprenticeship, vocational or internal develop mental program for a journeyman carpenter.
- Ability to comprehend written and oral instructions.
- Possess thorough knowledge of the carpentry trade.
- Must be able to operate power tools and machinery as required.
- A willingness to work shift if necessary, including days, evenings, and nights as well as overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
- Ability to write correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Description
Amentum is seeking a skilled Carpenter to perform work related to renovations supporting our Government Client in McLean, VA As a Carpenter, you will perform carpentry construction work to include, but not limited to framing, hanging drywall, installing/repairing carpet tiles, installing/repairing acoustical ceilings, installing doors and door hardware related to construction and building & grounds maintenance. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Top Secret clearance.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Incumbents may work in conditions that require operating industrial machinery/power tools and motor vehicles. Additionally, incumbents may participate in work that requires walking, bending, squatting, and carrying materials throughout the facility.
