Cad Specialist with Chief Architect Experience - Mountain View, United States - Harrell Remodeling

Overview:

The main objective of the position is to efficiently create accurate and comprehensive CAD working drawings.

The CAD Specialist collaborates with various stakeholders to ensure all necessary information is provided for construction-ready designs.

Experience/Requirements:

The ideal candidate possesses an AS Degree in Architectural Drafting, at least four years of experience with Chief Architect and AutoCAD software, familiarity with residential remodeling drawings, and a good understanding of building codes.

Job Duties:

• Meet with designer at client's home to understand project scope.
• Gather project information and research codes and restrictions.
• Develop drawings for existing conditions and proposed design in collaboration with designer.
• Create drawings suitable for each stage of design development.
• Ensure drawings adhere to industry standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders for drawing revisions and permit submissions.
• Coordinate with estimating/specifying department for drawing consistency with specifications.
• Prepare and manage drawings for signatures and permits.
• Assist in creating architectural details and coordinating with CMS for design consistency.
• Manage drawing templates and libraries for efficiency.
• Develop renderings to visualize projects.
• Organize technical files and update samples regularly.
• Assist in obtaining building permits as necessary.
• Participate in meetings and events as required.

Pay:
$38.00 per hour
