    IT Finance Specialist
    Contract Duration 6 Months
    Pay range - $30 - $35/hr


    Job Summary:
    Reporting to the Senior Manager of IT Finance as an integral part of the IT Finance team.
    Working independently, this position requires an organized and highly motivated team player, with both strong initiative and communication skills.

    This IT Finance Specialist position provides exposure to a broad range of financial activities at a publicly traded company, including active participation in the monthly close, maintaining vendor relationships, and assisting the Senior Manager of IT Finance with the allocation of the department's budget.

    In addition, the incumbent will assist the Senior Manager of IT Finance with process improvement, evaluation, and implementation.


    Essential Functions:
    Participate in contract negotiations with outsourcing partners and vendors.

    Work with IT Finance team members to ensure monthly invoices, including accruals and prepaid, are accurate (i.e., proper accounting allocation has been used, correct general ledger account has been coded, accruals have been recognized in the correct period, and invoices are correctly amortized).

    Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with appropriate global IT employees.

    IT Finance Specialist performs a wide variety of assignments, some of which are confidential in nature, including budget preparation and contract negotiations.

    Perform a range of staff and/or operational support activities; may serve as a liaison with other departments on basic administrative and/or operational matters.

    Establish, maintain, process, and update files, records, and/or other documents.

    Arrange meetings, conferences, and appointments, and perform other duties related to maintaining one or more individual schedules; make travel and lodging arrangements.

    Implement and maintain a tracking tool within the budget area of responsibility.
    Create monthly reports summarizing, spending and pending transactions. Manage and track all purchase orders

    Exhibit flexibility and willingness to take on new responsibilities and assignments as they are identified and assist with various ad hoc projects.

    Strong follow-up skills; ability to organize applicable department timelines and follow up with internal and external customer needs
    Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively
    Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed-upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment
    Self-motivated, able to work both independently to complete tasks and respond to department requests and with others to utilize their resources and knowledge to identify high-quality solutions
    Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
    Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials
    Word processing and/or data entry skills
    Strong typing skills
    Excellent problem-solving ability
    In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office suite; exceptional knowledge of Excel, including "pivot" table and "VLOOKUP" functionality, and PowerPoint
    Ability to maintain calendars and schedule appointments
    Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information
    Bilingual language skills, specifically, English and Spanish, a plus
    Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory
    Knowledge of account provisioning in Oracle eBusiness Suite and Microsoft
