What you will doThe HVAC Service Tradesman will assist union Apprentice and Journeyman Mechanics in performing mechanical installations and drive results along with all other work coming under the labor agreement assigned by the Employer, limited only by their capabilities as determined by the Employer, at the respective rate of pay and will perform all assigned work under the direction of the Employer.
Additional assigned work may include warehouse tending and inventory and mechanic parts/tool pickup and delivery.How you will do itTroubleshoot and resolve mechanical equipment problems under the direction and supervision of union Apprentice and Journeyman Mechanics.
Respond to basic warranty calls.Inform JCI, contractors and customers of job progress and issues as needed.
What we look forRequired:
Must be a member or willing to join the Local 290 Plumbers and Steamfitters Union.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Familiarity with HVAC equipment.
Valid driver's license with an excellent driving record.
Ability to pass thorough background check and drug test.
Ability to perform mechanical installations.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Self-starter with ability to work independently.
You may be required to pass a satisfactory examination as to your skill.
This is a Bargaining Unit Position. Hourly rate determined by the CBA/rate sheet. Benefits are provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement.
