The Sylt Specialist Clinic for Children and Adolescents is a rehabilitation clinic of the German Pension Insurance North. It offers space for 160 children and adolescents, including those accompanied by parents, with chronic respiratory, skin, and metabolic diseases such as diabetes mellitus and obesity, as well as other rare diseases.

We are looking for:

· Medical support for children and adolescents with diabetes mellitus and other chronic diseases, as well as their accompanying persons, through interprofessional rehabilitation treatment

· Creation of individual therapy plans with agreement and regular adjustment of therapy goals

· Conducting metabolic visits and training/education for patients and accompanying persons regarding diabetes, and also for other treated chronic diseases

You have the following qualifications:

· Medical experience in dealing with children and adolescents with type 1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus and their families

· Profound knowledge in the diagnosis and treatment of all forms of diabetes, with a special focus on sensor-supported pump therapy

· Sense of responsibility and reliability to independently lead the department

· Commitment to further develop meaningful treatment structures together with our interprofessional team

· Independent work style and flexibility, pleasant and friendly demeanor

· Empathetic and holistic understanding of children and adolescents and their families
