But most of all, we have heartTHE LOCATION...Approximately 1.5 hours away from Atlanta, we are gearing up for the highly anticipated Spring 2024 opening of Athens, Georgia's first luxury, boutique hotel, Rivet House.

With a close proximity to The University of Georgia, we are seeking dedicated and experienced team members to add to our growing team and ensure the success of this unique property.

The hotel will have 50 luxurious guest rooms, an upscale Italian restaurant and bar, a coffee bar and retail shop, and a 2800 square foot health and beauty spa.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the job include, but are not limited to:
Perform maintenance and repairs, and preventative maintenance, to all areas of the hotel.
Service hallways, public areas, and rooms as needed along with all other tasks as assigned.
Complete all maintenance requests and tasks as assigned for the day.
Visually inspect public areas and overall resort for cleanliness, appearance, and safety.

Maintain a clean and organized maintenance shop and for the security of the hotel inventory and assets such as tools, supplies, furniture, fixtures, and equipment.

Respond quickly and efficiently to all guest requests; Practice chemical safety rules and follows procedures for needles and other hazardous materials.

Report all suspicious persons, activities, or hazardous conditions to the Maintenance Manager.
Follow all Lost and Found protocols.
Maintain high standards of guest relations when in contact with the guest.
Ability to order supplies, to receive instructions for the day and/or to read equipment manuals including safety information.

RequirementsRequirements for Success:

Have a positive energy, be ready to assist fellow support staff and work as a team playerPrior cleaning or laundry experience is preferred.

Good communication and multitasking skills.
Ability to assist in all maintenance duties.

Additional education, training, or certification preferredPositive, friendly, and enthusiastic mindset with an excellent record of hotel experienceMust be able to work days, nights, weekends and holidaysAbility to constantly stand and walk with occasional stooping, kneeling, ascending, reaching, pushing, pulling, or liftingEducation/Formal Training and ExperienceAdvanced vocational training plus a year of experience in general building maintenance or construction, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Specialized knowledge of basic plumbing, carpentry, electricity, and equipment mechanics is preferred.
