Assembly Maintenance Technician - Athens, United States - E&E Mfg of Tennessee

Overview:
Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance and repairs on conveyor systems, robotic welders, and other industrial automation equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair PLC systems and wiring
- Conduct machine safety inspections and ensure compliance with regulations
- Utilize ERP software to track maintenance activities and inventory
- Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment using electronic, electrical, and mechanical equipment
- Coordinates maintenance activities with production control, tool room and quality control to obtain optimum production and utilization of manpower, machine and equipment
- Reviews and analyzes production, quality maintenance and operational reports to determine causes of production problems
- Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variances with supervisors and other maintenance associates
- Consults with production personnel relative to modification of machines and equipment in order to improve production and quality of products
- Coordinate with Tool Crib Attendants and Maintenance Planner on purchase orders for tools, parts, and equipment as needed
- Adhere to all safety regulations and policies in the plant at all times
- Complete scheduled preventative maintenance on all equipment and report out at the QOS meetings
- Maintain excellent housekeeping habits (5S)
- Maintain compliance with organizational policies, and safety hazards
- Actively participate in Production, 5Why/RCA, and other problem solving meetings
- Operate forklifts and other equipment as needed
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED is required
- Associate's degree in related field is strongly preferred
- Must be able to read, write and communicate in English is required
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is required
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of HMI and PLC systems
- Basic computer skills
- Forklift licensed
- Ability to meet physical requirements of the job
Special Note - Location and Schedule:
- Monday
- Friday 2:00pm
- 10:30pm ($1.00/hr differential)
- Sunday
- Thursday 10:00pm 6:30am ($1.00/hr differential)
- Work schedules available when transferred to Decatur, TN (starting April 2024):
- Monday
- Friday 5:00am
- 1:30pm
- Monday
