Position Overview:

Responsible for developing, administering and executing the product marketing strategy with the aim of increasing the sales and profitability in assigned markets.This position is responsible for the financial and marketing aspects of the product lines to ensure growth and profitability by initiating new and maintaining current marketing strategies to meet the business objectives.Ability to conduct thorough market research, competitor analysis, and customer segmentation to inform product development, marketing strategies, and overall business growth. The position interfaces and provides the internal link between operations, sales, R&D, Equipment, and M&T to address issues and opportunities for growth and margin enhancement.

This position is based in Charlotte, NC

Core Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive market research to identify industry trends, emerging opportunities, and potential threats.
• Stay updated on industry news, regulations, and market changes that may impact the organization.
• Assess the competitive landscape by monitoring competitors' products, pricing strategies, and market positioning.
• Identify gaps and opportunities for the organization to gain a competitive advantage.
• Develop competitive intelligence reports, markets analyst reports and share insights with the leadership team.
• Analyze customer feedback and surveys to extract valuable insights for product improvements and innovation.
• Utilize statistical and data analysis tools to draw conclusions and make data-driven recommendations.
• Create visual representations of data through charts, graphs, and reports to effectively communicate findings.
• Provide strategic recommendations based on market analysis to guide decision-making and resource allocation.

Qualifications:

• BS or equivalent experience in Technical Marketing in the fields of Ceramics, Refractory engineering, Materials Science, Organic Chemistry and/or Market Communications.
• 3+ years of experience in a technical marketing or communications role
• Understanding of both traditional and digital marketing channels
• Good understanding of the customer's industrial process
• Good understanding of business and economics
• Experience in the steel industry a plus.
• Knowledge of basic data analysis and data visualization tools (power BI, Tableau)
• Strategic thinker, creative mindset and problem solving skills

Position will report to the Marketing and Technology Manager IP Nafta. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including experience, education and location.
