$18.00/hour plus tips

Virginia ABC and Food Handlers permit cards required

Duties:

Prepare and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages to customers
Take customer orders and provide recommendations based on their preferences
Maintain a clean and organized bar area
Check identification to verify legal drinking age
Handle cash transactions and operate a cash register
Monitor customer behavior and ensure responsible alcohol consumption
Provide excellent customer service and address any customer concerns or complaints
Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth operation of the bar

Requirements:

Previous experience as a bartender or in a similar role preferred
Knowledge of drink recipes and mixology techniques
Familiarity with cash handling procedures
Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and calculating bills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and work in a fastpaced environment
Must be at least 21 years old (or legal drinking age in the respective location)
Food handling certification may be required depending on local regulations

Skills:

Hospitality: Ability to create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for customers
Food service: Knowledge of food safety practices and ability to assist with food orders if needed
Catering: Experience in catering events or functions is a plus
Sales: Upselling skills to promote specialty drinks or additional menu items
Customer service: Ability to provide exceptional service and address customer needs
