Auto-Body Repair Technician Apprentice
Southfield Classics, LLC. is a manufacturer of premium replica vehicles using newly developed electric vehicle technology.

The manufacturing facility, located in Flowery Branch, Georgia, produces vehicles that elevate the classics vehicle experience by manufacturing vintage vehicles with electric drive components.

Southfield Classics, originally a specialty restoration shop, has grown into a completely NEW vehicle production facility.

Ensuring a high level of quality control, with a known price, and significantly decreased build time, we continue to innovate while maintaining the hotrod and classics feel.

We are seeking a motivated Shop General Technician Apprentice to join our expanding manufacturing team. You will have access to the latest equipment, training and much more.

Responsibilities & Expectations

  • Communicates effectively with teammates.
  • Demonstrates willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Ability to follow instructions and procedures.
  • Assist in repairing and/or replacing damaged steel, aluminum and fiberglass panels using various tooling and techniques.
  • Facilitate repaired vehicles into paint department.
  • Assist in assembling vehicles ensuring proper fitment and operation of all components.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Ability to be on time each day.

Preferred skills

  • Trade school certification
  • In Shop Experience

Required Qualifications

  • Understanding of automotive components and systems.
  • Basic autobody knowledge (terminology, tooling, concepts)
  • Must be able to pass all preemployment screenings including background checks to include have a valid driver's license, pass a drug screen and a standardized background check.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must comply with all safety requirements set by shop.
  • Professional demeanor

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions
The position is based in a normal shop environment.

Frequent physical activity such as kneeling, bending, squatting, stooping, lifting above shoulders is a part of daily activity as well as repetitive tasks involving hand and arm motion and lifting objects over 50 pounds.

Must be able to push/pull parts carts and cars with assistance.


Working environment consists of:
Exposure to fumes, chemicals, dust, along with high levels of noise. Must have manual dexterity to operate equipment. Subject to weather conditions both inside and outside. Must have visual acuity to determine the accuracy and thoroughness of the work assigned.


Pay:
$ $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
